Who am I?
Hi, I am Josh Herrera and I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student at Oregon State University. I have a strong foundation in engineering design, materials science, and computational modeling. I already hold one Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon and bring over six years of professional experience as an Operations Assistant with the Zero Waste Program, where I led crews, optimized recycling and logistics workflows, and collaborated with International Paper on large-scale material recovery and sustainability initiatives.
I have also contributed to high-level scientific research through experimental data analysis conducted on Large Hadron Collider datasets. This work deepened my expertise in Python-based data processing, statistical modeling, and complex system interpretation—all skills that translate directly to engineering analysis and simulation.
